Osi Strikes Again

It seems we have a problem here at the Pandora shard.

the latest patch from OSI will not allow UO Gateway to work. Bad enough but an easy fix really...

if that was the only problem we would be up and running... However there are 2 more problems keeping us down.

1) we have moved to Live Oak Florida as a few of you know, and as we did this the server was down for a week or so.

Because of the fact that when the server is down UOG will reduce its uptime to 0, and when a server has 0 uptime it becomes invisible to UOG and because the UOG update server is down at this time, Pandora cannot get any uptime, so it remains invisible...

2) even if all these problems were fixed tomorrow, the place we are living in now doesn't yet have Air Conditioning, thus running the server would heat this room to a good 110 F and would overheat the server.

So... 3 problems.

1 and 2 must wait til Mr Fixit gets on the ball and fixes his program and server, while problem #3 will be fixed (as we get AC) in a matter of a few more weeks

So, please bear with us, we are not down for good, this is Pandora, and she doesn't go down without a fight

Accounts Will Be Deleted

July 22 is the deadline....

TO KEEP YOUR ACCOUNT

You MUST log in before midnight on the 22nd

After this, I will delete the accounts on the new shard, then I will delete inactive accounts, then the old shard will be shut down while I transfer God coins to the new shard

YOU MUST create a new account and player on the new shard before the 25th

NEW accounts MUST be the SAME as the account name on the old shard

I will not be replacing lost god coins

This is all necessary, I apologize for any inconvinience

A New Dawn Awaits...

The Pandora shard has been here almost 3 years now, and its about time for a change.
We have been working on a completely new map, and a completely new shard for the past year or so.

At this time we have 2 listings on UO Gateway

Pandora
and
Pandora Test

After the trial is ended, the Pandora Test will be removed, and the new shard will be listed under Pandora

The new Pandora shard has a great many new features and overall balance.

What about the old shard?
Well, it will be taken down, but before that happens, I have decided to reward our most loyal players.

The old shard is now locked so no new accounts can be created, thus begins the ending of the old.

From then, for a span of 3 months, all existing players are urged to sell off any items they can, and turn all coins
into God Coins.

God coins (if the rules are followed) will be moved to the new shard,
and will allow players to start with much more gold than normal.

1) all players who wish to transfer God Coins MUST create an account with the same name and a character
with the same name as the main character on the old shard that has the god coins.

2) players may transfer 1 skill but must purchase a soulstone using head tokens,
plus they will need to purchase a skill cap on the new shard if the skill is over the normal cap.

3) After the 3 months, all inactive accounts will be deleted, to prevent this, you must log on once per month.

4) I will not be replacing lost god coins due to account expiration, I am doing this all by hand and its already a lot of work.

So log on, and get your characters ready, you have only 3 months
